1. Who we are
This website is operated by SEO Specialist UK, an SEO consultancy based at 372 Old Street, London, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

Information you give us
- Contact form enquiries: your first name, last name, email address and the message you send.
- Emails, calls and meetings: your contact details and anything you choose to tell us about your business.
- Client work: business contact details, billing information and the access you grant us to tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics or your website.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data such as IP addresses, browser type and pages requested, to keep the website secure and working.
- Spam protection: our contact form may use a security check that processes technical information about your visit to stop automated spam.
We do not use this website to collect special category data, and we ask you not to send sensitive personal information through the contact form.
3. How we use your information and our lawful basis

| Delivering SEO services, reporting and invoicing | Performance of a contract |
| Keeping accounting and tax records | Legal obligation |
| Keeping the website secure and preventing spam | Legitimate interests |
| Sending occasional updates or newsletters, if you sign up | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Who we share it with
We only share personal information with service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:
- Website hosting: Hostinger, which hosts this website and its form submissions.
- Email: Google, which provides the email accounts we use to receive and answer enquiries.
- Professional advisers: accountants or legal advisers, where needed.
- Specialist partners: developers or writers working on your project, under confidentiality terms, and only with your agreement.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers, such as Google, may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
6. How long we keep your information
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records: for the length of our working relationship, then up to six years for tax and legal purposes.
- Server and security logs: in line with our hosting provider’s standard retention periods.
7. Cookies and third-party services
This website does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. It may set strictly necessary cookies that are needed for security, caching or form submissions.
Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts and scripts from our hosting provider. When this happens, your browser connects to those services and shares technical information such as your IP address. If we add analytics or marketing tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it
- ask us to transfer it to another organisation
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email seospecialistinuk@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our accounts and keeping software up to date. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect the information you share with us.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
