Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply when you use this website and when you engage SEO Specialist UK for SEO services.
Last updated: 5 November 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are between you and SEO Specialist UK, 372 Old Street, London, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). Section 2 applies to everyone who uses this website. Sections 3 to 11 apply when you engage us for services, alongside any written proposal or statement of work we agree with you. If a proposal conflicts with these terms, the proposal takes priority for that project.
2. Using this website
- The content on this website is general information about SEO and our services. It is not tailored advice for your business, and you should not rely on it as such.
- We try to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
- You may view, print and share our content for personal or internal business use. You may not copy it for publication, resell it or present it as your own.
- Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
- You must not misuse the website, for example by introducing malware, attempting unauthorised access or sending spam through our forms.
3. Our services
We provide SEO services such as audits, technical SEO, content, local SEO, link building, AI search visibility and consulting. The scope, deliverables, timescales and fees for each engagement are set out in a written proposal. Work outside that scope will be quoted separately before we start it.
We may use trusted specialists, such as developers or writers, to help deliver your project. We remain responsible for their work and they are bound by confidentiality.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide timely access to the accounts, systems and information we need, such as Google Search Console, analytics and your website.
- Make sure content and materials you give us do not infringe anyone else’s rights.
- Review and approve changes within a reasonable time. Delays on your side may affect timescales.
- Keep your own backups of your website. We take backups before making changes, but you remain responsible for your site.
- Make the final decision on legal, regulatory or industry-specific claims in your content.
5. Fees and payment
- Fees are as stated in your proposal. Prices exclude VAT where it applies.
- Project fees may be invoiced in stages. Monthly retainers are invoiced in advance at the start of each month.
- Invoices are payable within 14 days unless your proposal says otherwise.
- We may pause work on overdue accounts and may charge statutory interest on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- Third-party costs, such as tools, paid placements or content licences, are only incurred with your approval and are charged at cost unless agreed otherwise.
6. Results
Search engines and AI tools control their own results and change their systems often. We cannot guarantee any specific ranking, traffic level, citation or revenue outcome. We commit to carrying out the agreed work with reasonable skill and care, in line with search engines’ published guidelines, and to reporting honestly on progress.
7. Intellectual property
Once you have paid in full, you own the reports, content and other deliverables we create specifically for you. We keep ownership of our own methods, templates, tools and know-how, and may reuse general knowledge gained while working with you. We may refer to you as a client in our marketing only with your permission.
8. Confidentiality and data protection
We keep your confidential business information private and only use it to deliver our services. Where we process personal data on your behalf, for example in your analytics or customer data, we do so only on your instructions and in line with UK data protection law. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information about you.
9. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill.
- We are not responsible for changes made by search engines, third-party platforms or other people working on your website.
- Our total liability for any engagement is limited to the fees you have paid for that engagement in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Ending our work together
- Either of us may end a monthly retainer with 30 days’ written notice, unless your proposal states a different notice period.
- Fixed-fee projects can be cancelled in writing. You will pay for work completed up to that point and any costs already committed.
- Either of us may end the agreement immediately if the other seriously breaches these terms and does not fix the breach within 14 days of being asked.
- When our work ends, we will remove our access to your accounts and hand over any paid-for deliverables.
11. General and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you accept a proposal applies to that engagement. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
